Chris Freytag is a nationally recognized health and wellness expert with more than 20 years of experience in the industry. As chairman of the board for the American Council on Exercise (ACE) Chris Freytag also holds the titles of ACE certified group fitness instructor, ACE health coach, personal trainer and published author and speaker. Her high energy and dynamic personality led to national media appearances in SUCCESS magazine, on The Today Show and as a regular healthy lifestyle guest on QVC. Chris features her popular line of (healthy!) kitchen electronics and fitness equipment. Chris also is a contributing fitness editor to Prevention magazine and appears weekly on NBC’s Minneapolis/St. Paul affiliate Kare 11 News, in a segment with actionable nutrition and exercise tips called Motivation Monday.
Chris is the author of Two Week Total Body Turnaround, Move to Lose, Shortcuts to Big Weight Loss and Choose This!, a cookbook filled with healthy recipes made with whole food. With a BA in journalism, Chris Freytag has written numerous articles on health and fitness. Her weekly blog is titled, It’s A Whole Life and she also writes a weekly blog for Prevention magazine online.
While Chris has dozens of fitness DVDs, her most popular is the ACE HIIT Series DVD featuring high-intensity intervals that targets your upper body, lower body and core. Chris is a certified yoga and Pilates instructor, and her fans consistently fill her live classes at Life Time Fitness in Minneapolis.
Known for her high energy style and dynamic presentations, Chris inspires audiences in both corporate settings and on the national stage with her mission to motivate bodies and empower minds.
Chris resides in Minneapolis with her husband. They have three children ages 21, 19, and 16 and a dog named Dakota. When Chris isn’t working or working out, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, cooking, outdoor activities and giving back to her community.
